Ferrari California T Marks Re-return Of Prancing Horse To India

Ferrari has officially made a grand return to the Indian market with the launch of its grand touring sports car California T with a price tag of INR 3.45 Crores (ex-showroom, New Delhi). This hardtop convertible will be the cheapest Ferrari model in the Italian sportscar brand's Indian stable and will be sold by two handpicked dealers - Select Cars in Delhi NCT and Navnit Motors in Mumbai.

Unveiled globally last year, the California T is Ferrari’s first ever front-engined, turbocharged V8 car, an update of the previous California with new body and interiors, revised chassis and powertrain. The T model exemplifies premium elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity that have always defined every California model since the 1950s. The car is known to offer the best of both worlds - comfortable convertible and punchy sports car.

The California T is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged, direct injected V8 petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, pumping out 560 hp and 755 Nm of max power and torque, making the car to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. The sports car can reach a top speed on 315 kmph.

The engine also features variable boost management system which produces varying torque levels in different gears for an increased acceleration and reduced turbo lag. The convertible boasts a retractable hard-top roof and 2+ seating configuration, in addition to a revised Magnaride' adaptive suspension system and a new F1 trac system for superior handling.

Ferrari's California T's elegant interiors
The new Ferrari California T will compete with the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible, Bentley Continental GT Cabrio and the yet to come Rolls Royce Dawn in the Indian market. Earlier in May, Ferrari announced its updated prices for its cars after they end ties with Shreyans Group, the brand's former official distributor in India, owing to customer dissatisfaction by haphazard after-sales service and delayed delivery of cars.

Ferrari's Indian offerings at present also includes 488 GTB (INR 3.84 Crores), 458 Spider (INR 4.07 Crores), 458 Speciale (INR 4.25 Crores), and the flagship Ferrari F12 Berlinetta sold for INR 4.72 Crores (Ex-showroom Mumbai).
